Pinoy Durian Tart Recipe
Ingredients
DOUGH
- 3 Cups all purpose flour
- 1 Pack (8oz) cream cheese
- 1 Cup butter
- FILLINGS
- 1 Cup durian purée
- 1 Can (300ml) condensed milk
- 1/4 Cup flour
- 3 Tablespoon butter
- 3 Egg yolks
Cooking Instructions
DOUGH
- Cream butter and cream cheese together until blended, pour in flour and stir.
- Press the crust against the bottom and sides of a boat tart molder.
- Arrange molders in a baking pan.
- Bake at 350 °F, for about 20 minutes or at least it looks partially dry.
- Let it cool at room temperature.
FILLINGS
- In a thick saucepan, combine condensed milk and fresh or jam durian.
- Cook over low heat, add flour and egg yolks.
- Gradually stirring until it has a thick consistency.
- Add the butter when the other ingredients are done.
BAKING
- Pour in the filling over the hollow tart boats.
- Bake at 350 °F for 15 minutes or until the filling has set with the crust.
Cooking Tips
- Let it cool completely before wrapping individually in food grade cellophane.
- Prick the crust bottoms with a fork.
- Make 24 pieces in 2X4 boat mold.
